Does processing happen in my browser or on Edit Slate systems?

Tools can process a file locally in your browser. The interface should explain the material processing method before the task runs. Local processing can reduce the need to send a file, but network, account, billing and security information may still be handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Temporary files and Outputs used for remote processing are deleted from active systems within 12 hours, and related backups expire within 30 days. Files you deliberately save to an Account or Workspace remain until you or an authorised administrator deletes them, or the Account closes, subject to limited legal and security retention needs.

There is no routine human review of User Files. Limited authorised access may occur when you ask for support, when needed to investigate security or abuse, or when required by a binding legal obligation. Access should be restricted, purpose-limited and logged.

No, not for general-purpose AI training unless you are given a separate, clear choice and explicitly opt in. Declining that choice does not reduce access to the core service. Edit Slate aims to acknowledge the request within one business day and initiate it within two business days after locating and verifying the payment. The no-questions-asked promise is additional to any mandatory consumer rights. A marketplace or reseller may require its own refund route, but Edit Slate will provide reasonable help and will not oppose an eligible request.
